In the process of marking practical exam papers, I need to know if candidates have edited a set of images for the correct dimension. To do this, I used the Details View in File Explorer, adding the Dimensions column. I am using Windows 10.

Required knowledge:

It became a bit tedious doing this repeatedly, so I Googled a solution to change the default settings to include the Dimensions column.

  1. Activate the View tab
  2. Select the Details view
  3. Click on the Options button
  4. Select Change folder and search options
  1. The Choose Details dialog opens
  2. Search for and select the Dimensions option
  3. Click OK
  1. The Dimensions column is now displayed
  1. Activate the File menu
  2. Select Change folder and search options
  1. Select the View tab
  2. Click the Apply to Folders button
  3. Click the Apply button
  4. Click the OK button
  1. Click the Yes button
