Portable computers are designed to be carried around easily. Whereas once laptops offered nowhere near the power and capabilities of a desktop PC, modern laptops are packed with high-quality, powerful components.

4. Advantages
- Lightweight and portable
- Battery power
- Less clutter (no cables for monitor, mouse, keyboard etc)
5. Disadvantages
- Prone to overheating
- Difficult to repair, replace parts, and upgrade
- Ergonomically less ideal than a PC due to the fixed position of the touchpad & keyboard relative to the screen.
- Size and portability make them easier to steal
