Gone are the days of “Save as…” which would (attempt to) download a webpage and all its assets in its entirety to your hard drive.

1. Screenshot

Taking a screenshot using Windows Snip & Sketch or a specialised app like Greenshot works perfectly well when you only need a portion of a web page.

2. Full page

Both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge allow you to print to PDF. Simply right-click on a page and select Print (Ctrl + P). Hyperlinks on the page are preserved.

The GoFullPage – Full Page Screen Capture extension [1] is available for free for both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. The extension exports an entire page to PDF or PNG.

Capturing a page as a PDF creates multiple pages where required. Capturing a PNG creates one continuous image of the page.

There is a premium version with additional features such as cropping and annotating.
